Hola! To say this Dry January is unlike any other would be an understatement. It’s validating to see Big Media finally understand the sober curious/non-alc world I’ve been part of since 2015. How’s your month going?

Join Me in Philly on Saturday
I’m back at Dry Vibes in Philly on Saturday! I wrote about my incredible experience at this non-alc festival last year, including networking with a Real Housewife here. I can’t wait to see some familiar faces and make new connections with the NA space.
I’ll have a table from 11-5 where you can taste my NA spirit or purchase a signed copy of my book and card deck.
NPR, Baby!!!!
I was on NPR on Tuesday talking about sober sex and my book, Dry Humping, with two sex therapists. This whole convo was a dream come true!
Men’s Health Digs My Drink
My NA spirit, (parentheses), was listed in Men’s Health’s 15 Reasons It’s Awesome to Be Sober(ish) Right Now by Ian Lecklitner. This piece of press means the world to me because (parentheses) was inspired by my desire for a strong drink when I quit drinking alcohol. Of course “the sober sexpert” prefers a stiff drink 😎
Men’s Health Also Digs My Advice
I answered a question about sober sex for Men’s Health’s column, Sexplain It. Thanks for including me,

New Column About Pitching
Finding the confidence to pitch my work and then handle rejection are superpowers I’ve harnessed over my last 9+ years working in media, publishing, and now, the non-alc industry.
That’s why I’m implementing a paid column in this newsletter called Pitch, Please! Every month, I’ll go behind the scenes of my pitching process (including screenshots of my pitches!) while sharing tangible tips to deal with the emotional side of putting yourself out there. My column will look like this and this.
Full access to Pitch, Please! is $7 per month or $70 per year. I’m doing a Dry January promo for 20% off through the end of the month.
Pitch, Please! Monthly Topics Include:
How to get quoted as an expert on your topic
How to pitch yourself as a podcast guest
How to pitch an essay or reported piece to an editor
How to find an editor’s email address
Read pitches that I’ve accepted and learn why I accepted them
A mix of new media (podcasts, social media, newsletters/blogs) and traditional media (newspapers, magazines, TV, radio)
Mental health and ADHD-informed mental health tips to boost the confidence needed to write the damn pitch. I’ll also share healthy coping skills for rejection, imposter syndrome, and more.
XO,
Tawny
