They say you can live a life beyond your wildest dreams when you quit drinking. Holy shit, that is 100% true.
In 2015, I gave up alcohol for one year as a social experiment. I wanted to see how my alcohol use impacted my creativity. Taking time to reevaluate my relationship with substances and self-destructive behaviors would become the greatest decision of my life. That decision led to my reporting on sober curiousity + mindful drinking from the very beginning of what would be a world-changing movement.
I met humans who changed my life (and the lives of others) in countless ways. They showed me that different paths exist and that life is what we make it.
Somehow, over the last 18 months, I published a book, co-authored a card deck, and cofounded the artisanal NA spirit @drinkparentheses. This photo is saved in my Google Drive as AllMyChildren.jpg because that’s exactly how it feels when I look at this.
In a sense, this photo p0rn for this Capricorn (Caprip0rn?!)
Thank you to everyone who’s followed my journey over the last nine years. We are all in this together, one day at a time.

I’m starting a bottle shop (and distribution arm) in Wichita, KS. I’ve had parentheses in my pantry for a while and have subscribed to you here, but never connected the two. Would love to connect further.
